To ensure that our members operates harmoniously and upholds our core values, we have implemented this Code of Conduct. The following outlines the expectations and guidelines that govern our interactions, both online and offline.
Our Code of Conduct reflects our commitment to treating each other with dignity, respect, and fairness. It provides a framework for promoting positive behavior, preventing harassment and discrimination, and maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all. We encourage open communication, collaboration, and the sharing of ideas, while also recognizing the importance of personal boundaries and consent.
As members of our organization, we all share the responsibility of upholding the principles outlined in this Code of Conduct. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with this Code of Conduct, as it serves as a guiding document for our association.

Code of Conduct Rules:
Responsible Use of Resources: Members agree to never mention the CCA or other member’s shared information facilitated via this platform as reasoning for the making of a business decision with a third party. Members should utilize organizational resources responsibly and for their intended purposes. CCA is not responsible or liable for the usage of this data for your own business decisions.
Good Standing: Members agree to be in good credit standing within the industry. Promote a culture of compliance within your organization. This includes training your employees on the code of conduct and encouraging them to report any violations that they see.
Data Sharing: Members agree to participate in our data sharing program and submit their data monthly in a timely manner.
Privacy and Confidentiality: Respect and protect the privacy and confidentiality of all sensitive information shared within the association, including personal, proprietary, and client information.
Respect, Inclusivity, Harassment, and Discrimination: Treat all individuals with respect, fairness, and dignity, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic. Zero tolerance for any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying, including but not limited to verbal, written, physical, or online harassment.
Conflicts of Interest: Avoid conflicts of interest. This includes disclosing any potential conflicts of interest to the trade association and recusing yourself from any decisions or activities that could be affected by a conflict of interest.
Professionalism: Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times, maintaining appropriate language, behavior, and attire, both within the association and when representing it externally.
Support and Participation: Support the goals and objectives of the trade association. This includes participating in activities that promote the trade association's mission and goals.
Integrity: Act with integrity and honesty in all business dealings. This includes being truthful in all communications and providing accurate information.
Compliance with Laws and Policies: Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies, ensuring legal and ethical conduct in all activities
Cannabiz Credit Association Code of Conduct
By adhering to this Code of Conduct, the CCA aims to establish and maintain trust, transparency, and transformation within the cannabis industry, fostering an environment that benefits all stakeholders involved.
Trust
1. Data Integrity:
All data presented and generated by the CCA will be uncompromised and presented as it is collected to give our members and others within the industry the most accurate representation of the collected data.
The CCA will take measures to ensure the integrity, privacy, and security of all data in our possession.
2. Compliance with Laws and Regulations:
The CCA will operate in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
We will maintain a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory environment to ensure our practices align with the requirements imposed upon us.
3. Professionalism and Respect:
The CCA's staff, members, and representatives will conduct themselves professionally and treat all individuals with respect, irrespective of their background, race, gender, religion, or any other characteristic protected by law.
We will foster an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages collaboration and constructive communication.
Transparency
1. Policy Communication:
The CCA will promptly inform members of any changes to our policies, terms, conditions, privacy policies, and partnerships that may impact their rights, obligations, or interactions with the CCA.
We will provide clear and concise communication regarding the nature and implications of any changes made.
2. Appeals Process:
The CCA will establish a formal appeals process to allow any member or business listed within our Debtor Database or credit scoring system to submit an appeal regarding the information provided by the CCA, seeking its alteration or removal.
The appeals process will involve collecting documentation from the appellant and establishing a committee to review the reasons for appeal and supporting evidence.
The committee will carefully assess whether any data presented may have been in error or under circumstances that require its alteration or removal.
3. Confidentiality and Data Protection:
The CCA will treat all member data with the utmost confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
We will implement appropriate security measures to protect the data entrusted to us and mitigate the risk of unauthorized access or disclosure.
Transformation
1. Industry Focus:
The CCA will prioritize acting in the best interest of the cannabis industry as a whole, rather than favoring any individual organization.
We will consider the broader impact of our actions and decisions, aiming to contribute positively to the growth and development of the industry.
2. Uncompromised Integrity:
The CCA will not allow monetary incentives, referrals, partnerships, or any other means to compromise our integrity or the integrity of the data we provide.
We will uphold high ethical standards and avoid any actions that may undermine the trust placed in us by our members and stakeholders.
3. Continuous Improvement:
The CCA will continuously strive for improvement in all areas of its operations, including data accuracy, service quality, and compliance.
We will actively seek feedback from our members and stakeholders to identify areas for enhancement and implement appropriate measures accordingly.
